The Home Depot

The Sprint team, in conjunction with a consulting firm, identified an opportunity that the Home Depot (THD) could capitalize on in their marketplace. They identified that the Home Depot only has 6% of the overall contractor market and that mere 6% makes up 35% of THD’s overall revenue. So, together they presented a solution to the Home Depot called the "ProDesk Initiative". This initiative would enable every Home Depot across the country to be set up with a Nextel Blackberry at an in-store contractor service area ("ProDesk") where a contractor could radio in their order via their Push-to-Talk device saving them time and money. This would enable the Home Depot to capture a larger market share of the commercial contractor’s business and substantially grow their overall revenue.

Sprint invited Manage Mobility to manage the project as the requirements were very out-of-the-box and detailed. Manage Mobility went to work producing a process document and ensuring that all of the customer and Sprint requirements were met. A systematic ordering process, automated and controlled staging, and finally asset tracking and reporting capabilities provided Home Depot with everything they needed to launch the initiative successfully. The project was deployed at over 700 Home Depot facilities across the country and has provided the Home Depot with a significant uplift in sales.

Army / Air Force BPA

Sprint was awarded the Army/Air Force Blanket Purchase Agreement in early 2006. The BPA provided a way to standardize rate plans & monitor spending across the Army, Air Force and DTS-W (Defense Telecom Services of Washington). In order to win this opportunity, Sprint partnered with Manage Mobility to provide a solution that would meet every stated contractual need that Sprint could not.

Manage Mobility was tasked with deploying the BPA separately through AFWAY (Air Force), NETCOM (Army) and DTS-W by utilizing custom web portals and middleware. In addition to the development of the online and back office system, Manage Mobility has been providing the customer and Sprint teams with Program Management, Staging & Logistics, WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow) invoicing, Government Purchase Order management as well as Reporting and Asset tracking services. Special software was also developed for funds verification capability and Military CO (Contracting Officer) approval.

Manage Mobility has been managing this contract for over two years now and has been able to keep Sprint in good standing with the agencies by staying compliant with the BPA requirements enabling Sprint to recognize double digit growth on the contract vehicle year over year.
